Clinic5 Updates Fall 2019
Just yesterday, I was reflecting on how truly blessed I feel. To be able to do work that we believe in, to earn a living while doing it and to be surrounded by people at work whom you trust and learn from every day.
This quarter has been special. Special for many reasons. I returned back from grad school in July 2019, in my absence, the team had sustained operations and I would say I am extremely proud of how well they managed to do so.
This quarter was about setting up our team for scale. We received investment from the Acumen Fund via a special round called the Acumen Angels. This was supported through a partnership between Acumen & the Bridgewater Associates.
This investment has allowed us to grow our team. We were joined this quarter by Dr Talaiha Chughtai, a pediatrician and public health professional. She has joined our team as a partnership associate for our School Health Services. She will also be leading the Clinic5 DHA medical centre in her capacity as a pediatrician. She brings with her persistence and passion for public health especially directed towards the betterment of children’s lives
The second big addition to our team is that of Mr. Khurram Latif. Khurram is a nurse with extensive experience in training and healthcare operations. He joins our team as an operations manager for our school health program. Ever since he has joined he has spread his infectious energy into our field team.
Some exciting conversations have been initiated on the school health front on which I will be reporting to you (fingers crossed) at the end of q4 2020
For the Clinic5 medical centres, we are looking to partner with a family medicine/pediatrics practice in PECHS Karachi.
Which brings me to my two asks from the universe
- If you know of schools who would like to deliver healthcare services to their students — link us up!
- If there is a clinical practice in PECHS that is interested to explore a one of a kind (it is truly unique) partnership opportunity to increase their impact and revenues then let's talk.
High-Five!
Best,
Mohsin
